寨卡病毒能长期潜伏于神经系统和淋巴,可能造成其他疾病

根据在Cell上发表的一项研究发现,即使Zika病毒在病毒从血液,尿液和粘膜分泌物中清除数周后,其仍然持续感染恒河猴的脑脊髓液,淋巴结和结肠直肠组织。
According to a research published on Cell today, ZIKV can persist incerebrospinal fluid(CSF) and lymph nodes(LN) of infected rhesus monkeys forweeks after virus has been cleared from peripheral blood, urine and mucosalsecretions.

该研究由Beth Israel Deaconess医学中心和哈佛医学院的Dan H.Barouch博士和同事领导,并由美国国立卫生研究院(NIH)隶属的国家过敏和传染病研究所(NIAID)资助。
This research was hold by Doctor Barouch and his colleagues andsubsidized by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease which issubordinated to National Institutes of Health(NIH)

调查人员用Zika病毒感染了20只恒河猴,并注意到虽然病毒在7-10天内从外周血中清除,但在脑脊髓液中能够持续检测到Zika病毒长达42天,在淋巴结和结肠直肠活检中检测长达72天。
The investigators infected twenty rhesusmonkeys with ZIKA virus and found that acute viremia was rapidly controlled in peripheralblood by day 10 but persisted for up to 42 days in cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) and for up to 72 days in lymph nodes(LN)and colorectal biopsies.

免疫数据显示,针对Zika病毒特异性中和抗体在血浆中的大量出现与病毒的快速控制相关。然而,脑脊髓液中没有检测到Zika特异性抗体,这可能是为什么病毒保留在脑脊髓液中时间更长的原因。
Immunological data revealed that abundantZIKA-specific antibodies in plasma is concerned with virus fast control.However, ZIKV-specific antibodies were not detected in CSF. It is may be thereason why stay in CSF for longer time.

研究人员还发现,寨卡病毒长期在脑脊髓液,淋巴结和结肠直肠组织感染,与这些组织中mTOR信号通路激活同时发生。mTOR信号通路激活之前已被证明可能造成过免疫反应和脑组织和脑畸形的发展有关。
Researchers alsofound that ZIKA virus infected cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), lymph nodes(LN) andcolorectal biopsies when mTOR signal pathways activated at the same time. Ithad been confirmed that excessive immunoreaction, brain tissue and brainmalformation was correlated with upregulation of mTOR.

研究结果表明,中枢神经系统中的持续性病毒可能有助于与Zika病毒感染相关的神经病变的产生。
虽然Zika病毒通常在人体中引起轻度病状或无症状,但可能造成儿童和成人的神经系统疾病,如果感染的孕妇将病毒传染给胎儿,可能导致严重的胎儿缺陷,如小头症。
The results prove thatpersistent virus in central nervous system may contribute to ZIKA-relatedneuropathy. Though ZIKA generally gives rise to mild symptoms or asymptomatic,it can cause children and adults’ nervous system disease. If infectious viruspregnant woman vertically transmits to fetus, it can lead infants defect suchas microcephaly.

但是,作者指出,如果Zika病毒可以持续在人类的中枢神经系统和其他组织中感染,可能会发生除了小头症以外更广泛的神经系统,淋巴,免疫疾病。
However, the authorindicated if ZIKA virus persistently infects human’s central nervous system andother tissues, it can cause more extensive neural, lymphoid and immune diseasesbesides microcephaly.
